Bucknell's Erin Curatola Named Patriot League Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Bucknell senior co-captain Erin Curatola was named the Patriot League Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the league office announced on Wednesday. A Second Team All-Patriot League selection, Curatola is the sixth Bison softball player to earn the award, while she is the 111th Bucknell student-athlete to be honored in the 18 years of the Patriot League.

Bucknell's Buursma Tabbed Patriot League Baseball Scholar-Athlete of the Year
After being named the 2008 Patriot League Player of the Year last week, Bucknell baseball senior co-captain Jason Buursma has been tabbed the league's Baseball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, it was announced on Tuesday. Buursma becomes the fifth student-athlete in program history to garner the award and joins Frank Fresconi as the only two individuals to be selected as both the Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year in their careers with the Bison.
