Georgetown University Head Football Coach Kevin Kelly has announced that 32 student-athletes will join the Hoya program this fall for the 2008 season. The newcomers come from 16 different states, including five from Texas, four from Connecticut, Ohio and New Jersey. There are also two from Florida, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania and one apiece from Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Rhode Island, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Hoyas for Christ to Sponsor Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday with Baltimore Ravens Kicker Matt Stover to Serve as Keynote Speaker
On Tuesday, April 29, Brent Tomlinson and Hoyas for Christ, with support from the Georgetown Athletics administration, will sponsor the 1st Annual Prayer Breakfast at McDonough Arena from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The keynote speaker for the event will be Matt Stover, the Pro Bowl kicker for the 2001 Super Bowl Champions Baltimore Ravens.

Washington, D.C. ,, Georgetown University Athletics Director Bernard Muir announced today that the Hoya football team will open its 2008 season with the first of a four-game series against District of Columbia rival Howard University. The Hoyas and the Bison will kick off the 2008 season at Howard on September 6.
