5/9/08 Lehigh places two on NWCA All-Academic team Senior Dave Nakasone and sophomore Manuel Schubert have been named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division I All-Academic wrestling team, the NWCA announced on Thursday. Both wrestlers enjoyed success both on the mat and in the classroom in 2007-08 and are two of 88 Division I wrestlers named to the team. To be eligible wrestlers must have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and be a NCAA qualifier or have been a starter and won 60 percent of his matches. MORE [+]

5/9/08 Lehigh places three on Academic All-District team As Lehigh attempts to capture its fourth Patriot League tournament championship in five years, three Mountain Hawks were honored for their work in the classroom, as seniors Megan Conrad and Kate Marvel and junior Lisa Sweeney have been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District II first team; it was announced on Thursday. 5/9/08 Friday's softball tournament games delayed Friday's scheduled action at the 2008 Patriot League softball tournament has been delayed due to inclement weather. A tripleheader, beginning with the winner's bracket game between No. 1 Lehigh and No. 3 Bucknell was scheduled for 11 a.m., but now will begin no earlier than 1 p.m. Friday's forecast calls for periods of heavy rain. 5/8/08 Mountain Hawks roll past Army, 8-0 in PLT opener Lehigh opened up play at the 2008 Patriot League tournament with a convincing 8-0, five-inning shutout of Army Thursday afternoon at Kaufman Field. Junior Lisa Sweeney fired a one-hitter for her eighth shutout of the season for the top-seeded Mountain Hawks, while the offense bounced back from an eleven day layoff with eleven hits. Lehigh improves to 36-14-1 overall and the Mountain Hawks will face No. 3 seed Bucknell in the winner's bracket on Friday morning. MORE [+]
