Bethlehem, Pa. - No. 5 Lehigh defeated No. 4 Lafayette, 4-0, on its home court, while No. 3 Bucknell blanked No. 6 Holy Cross, 4-0, in quarterfinal action at the 2007 Patriot League Women's Tennis Tournament at Lehigh's Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts.
Lehigh will move on to play No. 1 Army in the first semifinal on Sunday at 10 a.m. Bucknell will face No. 2 Colgate at 1 p.m. Both Army and Colgate received first-round byes. The 2007 Patriot League Championship Match will take place on Monday, April 30 at 1 p.m.
Lehigh took the doubles point from Lafayette with all three matches finishing out. Gwen Dwyer and Allison Schwartz won 8-2, Julie Arthofer and Ruthie Furman took a 8-6 game, and Victoria Vityuk and Francesca Murasko-Blank came up with a 8-5 victory. Dwyer, Schwartz and Furman were double winners on the day, all taking singles matches from their Lafayette counterparts. Lehigh improves to 7-11 on the year, while Lafayette closes out the season at 6-7 overall.

The Bucknell duo of Carlin Calcaterra and Paulina Gamboa took an 8-0 game at No. 2 doubles, while teammates Camille Simonetti and Caitie Baffa earned a 8-3 win at the No. 3 spot to lock up the doubles point for Bucknell. Gamboa won a 6-2, 6-2 match at first singles, while Ashley Globerman and Kirstyn Sotak also notched victories at No. 3 and 4 singles, respectively. Bucknell ups its season record to 7-13, while Holy Cross heads home with a 0-7 overall mark on the year.
