Center Valley, Pa. - Bucknell's Ira Reibeisen was named the 2007 Patriot League Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was one of 26 student-athletes listed on the 2007 Patriot League Men's Tennis Academic Honor Roll, announced Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich Tuesday. Also, included on this year's academic honor roll was Navy's Adrian Lai, who posted a 4.0 grade-point average during the spring semester.

Reibeisen owns a 3.64 overall grade-point average as an accounting major heading into his senior year. The three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll Member will intern at Bear Stevens Investing Banking this summer.

For the second year in a row Reibeisen earned First-Team All-Patriot League honors and was named the October Patriot League Player of the Month. The Bison captain now ranks second all-time at Bucknell with 103 career victories, going 12-9 at No 1 singles this season and 18-12 in doubles competition.

Reibeisen is just the second Bison to be named the Patriot League Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, following in the footsteps of Mark McGuire in 1995.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.

A total of 989 student-athletes were named to the Patriot League's Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, which includes the sports of men and women's basketball, men and women's swimming and diving, men and women's indoor track and field, baseball, golf, men and women's lacrosse, rowing, men and women's outdoor track and field, softball and men and women's tennis.
