Durham, N.H. - The men's and women's track and field team traveled to Durham, N.H. to compete in the 2008 outdoor track and field New England meet hosted my UNH. The team concluded day two today with 11 top eight finishes for the women and three for the men. The women's team took an all time high of fourth place while the men took 20th with 12 points.
Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) took second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.33 and first in the 200-meter with a time of 24.26. In the 400-meter race Lauren Courtney (Ashland, Mass.) placed fifth with a time of 58.07 followed by teammate Lauren Tallon (Lake Forest, Ill.) in sixth with a time of 58.09. Dannielle Meder (Chicopee, Mass.) finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.76 and Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) took eighth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.95. Lesley Bautista (St. John's Newfoundland) finished fourth in the pole vault with a height of 11-05.75. Katherine Clifford (Norwood, Mass.) finished fifth in the javelin with a toss of 121-09. Jenna Hinchey (Orange, Conn.) finished sixth with a toss of 120-02 and Christie LeTarte (Luenburg, Mass.). In the heptathlon Alexandra Swiatocha (Mahoac, N.Y.) finished fifth with 4089 points.
In the relays the women's 4x800 relay finished third with a time of 9:23.43, the 4x100 team took fourth with a time of 48.08, and the 4x400 finished eighth with a time of 3:55.90.
For the men, Michael Ricotta (Cross, River) finished third in the 400-meter race with a time of 48.57. Stephen Mandravelis (Nashua, N.H.) finished seventh in the hammer with a toss of 170-10.
The men's 4x400-meter relay finished fifth with a time of 3:18.06.
