Lange Recognized by Basketball Times as a Top Mid-Career Coach
Navy men's basketball coach Billy Lange was named by Basketball Times as one of the top 30 coaches in mid career, the publication announced in its April issue. Lange was one of 13 mid-major coaches on the chart and was ranked 30th among all mid-career.

Bucknell Men's Basketball Coach Pat Flannery Announces Retirement, Will Continue to Work for University in Fundraising Position
Bucknell University President Brian C. Mitchell announced this morning that Bison men's basketball head coach Pat Flannery has decided that effective July 1, 2008, he will retire as coach and will assume a new fundraising position within the University's Office of Development and Alumni Relations. Flannery, a graduate of Bucknell, has been the most successful coach in Patriot League history.

Army's Jarell Brown Earns Second-Team All-MBWA Honors
Army guard Jarell Brown was named to the All-Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Second Team at the organization's annual awards dinner held at the Meadowlands on Thursday night. Brown earned third-team laurels in 2007, becoming only the fifth Black Knight to be an All-MBWA selection twice. Brown was a First-Team All-Patriot League pick after averaging a career-best 18.2 points per game during the 2007-08 season.

Former Holy Cross Star Torey Thomas Named Player of the Year in Swedish Basketligan
Former Holy Cross basketball standout Torey Thomas has been named the 2008 Player of the Year in the Swedish Basketligan, the top professional basketball league in Sweden. Thomas spent the season playing for Akropol BBK, which plays its games in Stockholm, Sweeden.
