Center Valley, Pa. - The Patriot League Men's Basketball Semifinals are set, with No. 1 seed American hosting No. 5 Army and No. 3 Colgate taking on visiting No. 7 Bucknell on Sunday. Both games will tip off at 2 p.m., and American and Colgate have put tickets on sale for their contests.
Tickets for both Patriot League Semifinal games are $12 for adults and $6 for youths and senior citizens.
Tickets for American's contest at Bender Arena may be purchased online by going here or via telephone at 202-885-TIXX. All American students with valid ID will receive free admission. The Eagles advanced to the semifinal round with a 62-60 win over No. 8 Holy Cross in Wednesday's quarterfinals, while Army won at No. 4 Lehigh, 64-61, in overtime in the quarterfinals.
Colgate hosts Bucknell at Cotterell Court, and tickets are available by visiting the box office in Reid Athletic Center or by calling the ticket office at 315-228-7600. The Raiders advanced to the semifinals with a 76-74 win over No. 6 Lafayette in the quarterfinal round, while the Bison beat Navy, 87-86, on a 40-foot buzzer-beater by John Griffin in the first triple-overtime game in Patriot League Tournament history.
The Patriot League Men's Basketball Tournament concludes when the winners of the semifinal contests meet in the Patriot League Men's Basketball Championship on March 14 at 4:45 p.m. on ESPN2. That game, like all games in the Tournament, will be played at the site of the higher seed.
