Navy Continues Play In 2008 Men's Lacrosse NCAA Tournament Against Johns Hopkins
Navy advanced to the quarterfinal round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament with an 8-7 upset win over fourth-seeded North Carolina as an at large bid into the national tourney. Navy-Marine Corps Memorial is one of two quarterfinal sites and the Mids will be taking on the No. 5 seed and defending national champion Johns Hopkins on their home field at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 17. Virginia and Maryland will play in the other quarterfinal game in Annapolis on Saturday at Noon.

Raiders Drop Overtime Heartbreaker to No. 6 Notre Dame in NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament
Notre Dame's Peter Christman rifled a shot high into the left corner with 1:28 left in overtime to beat Colgate 8-7 in overtime in the first round of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament. Colgate's Tim Harrington made a season-high 18 saves as the No.10/12 Raiders made their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Navy Stuns North Carolina In First Round Of The NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament
Tim Paul scored a career-high four goals, to lead Navy (10-5) to a thrilling 8-7 upset victory over No. 4 seed North Carolina (8-6) in the first round of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament Saturday night at Fetzer Field. Navy advances to play the winner of Sunday's Johns Hopkins-Hofstra game next Saturday at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium at either 12 noon or 3 p.m.

Colgate and Navy Will Represent Patriot League In 2008 Men's Lacrosse NCAA Tournament
Two Patriot League teams received bids to the 2008 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament with Colgate and Navy being selected for postseason play. Colgate enters the NCAAtourney as the Patriot League's automatic qualifier after winning the 2008 Patriot League Championship on April 27. Navy was one of nine squads in the 16-team NCAATournament field to receive an at-large invitation.
