Navy teammates Nick Mirabito and Jordan DiNola were named Patriot League Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, on Monday. Lafayette's Jeff Canfield earned his first-career Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honor, while Lehigh's Jonathan Stumpf was tabbed the Patriot League Rookie of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week
Nick Mirabito, Navy
Sr., A, Binghamton, N.Y.
Mirabito tallied 12 points over two games last week as Navy improved to 3-0 in Patriot League play with victories over Lehigh and Holy Cross. The senior attack tied his career high in points in back-to-back games last week with six in each contest. Against both Lehigh and Holy Cross he had two goals and four assists. The four assist are a career high for the Binghamton, N.Y. native. In the win over Lehigh, he had either the goal or the assist in four of Navy's first five scores of the game. Against Holy Cross, he provided the goal or assist in each of the first five scores again.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jordan DiNola, Navy
Sr., D, Ballston Lake, N.Y.
DiNola helped anchor a Navy defense that held Lehigh and Holy Cross to a combined six goals in Patriot League play. The two opponents combined for just 36 shots, holding Lehigh without a shot in the first quarter and Holy Cross to just two shots in the first half. The senior defenseman marked Lehigh's leading scorer and held him to zero goals and just one shot. He also marked Holy Cross' leading scorer and top assist man to just three shots and one helper.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Jeff Canfield, Lafayette
Jr., Kinnelon, N.J.
Canfield made a season-high 14 saves in a loss to No. 14 Bucknell in its second Patriot League game of the year. The junior netminder held the Bison to nine goals and owned a .609 save percentage. This is Canfield's first-career Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week award and the first for Lafayette since the creation of the award in 2007.
Rookie of the Week
Jonathan Stumpf, Lehigh
Fr., M, Ellicott City, Md.
Stumpf tallied a game-high four points in Lehigh's 9-8 come from behind win over Villanova. The freshman midfielder had two goals and two assists. His second goal of the game pulled Lehigh within one score in the closing minutes of the third quarter.

Joe Mele, Bucknell
Jr., A, Westbury, N.Y.
Netted two goals in the win over No. 16 Fairfield...Recorded a hat trick in a League victory over Lafayette.
Kevin Colleluori, Colgate
Jr., A, Bethpage, N.Y.
Matched his career high with five goals in Colgate's 15-5 win over Vermont...Added three ground balls.
Patriot League Notebook
Happy At Home
Five Patriot League schools are still undefeated at home this season. Bucknell leads the way at 5-0, while both Lehigh and Navy are 3-0. Army and Colgate have gone 2-0 when playing in their hometown.
The Patriot League owns the second-best home winning percentage among Division I men's lacrosse conferences at 89.5% (17-2). The Patriot League is behind only the ACC, whose teams have gone a combined 15-0 at home so far this year.
Navy Tops In Last Five
With 55 wins over the last five years, Navy owns more victories than any other Division I program. Johns Hopkins is second with 54 wins in five seasons.
CSTV Spotlight
Sunday's Patriot League matchup against Colgate and Navy in Hamilton, N.Y. will be broadcast on CSTV. Game time in slated for Noon at Andy Kerr Stadium. Jason Chandler will handle play-by-play duties and Paul Carcaterra will provide color analysis.
Five Away
Navy senior Nick Mirabito is just five points away from entering into the Patriot League's top-10 career list. Mirabito currently has 141 career points on 86 goals and 55 assists.

2008 Men's Lacrosse Championship
The 2008 Patriot League Tournament will take place on Friday, April 25 and Sunday, April 27 at the site of the highest seed. The top four teams in the regular-season standings will advance to the Patriot League tourney. The championship game on Sunday will be broadcast on CSTV.
Team Notebooks
Army Army defeated Rutgers, 12-11, in the Patriot Cup held in Dallas, Texas on Saturday. It marked the first time the Army lacrosse team had ever played in Texas. Freshman Jeremy Boltus totaled two goals and an assist, while senior Justin Bokmeyer added two goals as 10 different Black Knights found the net. Senior Adam Fullerton totaled 11 saves in goal for the Black Knights for his third-straight game and fourth this season with double-digit saves. Army out-shot Rutgers by a 40-31 margin, including a 25-22 advantage in shots on goal. Army will play two Patriot League games this week, traveling to Lehigh on Wednesday and hosting Holy Cross on Saturday.
Bucknell Bucknell extended its winning streak to five games with home victories over No. 16 Fairfield, 9-8, and Lafayette, 9-7, last week. Bucknell won its 15th-straight game against Lafayette. Junior Joe Mele had a team-high five goals in Bucknell's two victories last week. In Saturday's Patriot League win over Lafayette, Mele scored all three of his goals in the second half after the Leopards had cut a 6-0 deficit to 6-4. Tim Brandau added two goals and an assist in the win over the Leopards and netted two against the Stags. Bucknell heads to Navy for a Patriot League matchup on Wednesday. Bucknell's last win over Navy was an 8-7 overtime victory in 2005.
Colgate Colgate earned a 15-5 victory over Vermont last Tuesday. The 15 goals ties the Raiders' season high, which Colgate also reached in its win over Holy Cross. Junior Kevin Colleluori matched his career high with five goals in the win. He has scored at least four points in each of the last four games and has at least two points in all six games this season. Sophomore Ian Murphy added a career-high four points from three goals and an assist. Senior Matt Lalli added two goals and an assist, while junior Brandon Corp had a goal and an assist for three points. Colgate went 19-of-24 in faceoffs versus the Catamounts. Colgate will play at No. 1 Duke on Tuesday and host No. 8 Navy in Patriot League play on Sunday.
Holy Cross Junior Luke Marchand scored two goals, while classmate John Marino had one in Holy Cross' Patriot League loss to Navy in Dallas, Texas on Saturday. Senior Toby Banta and sophomore Edison Parzanese each added one assist. Junior Jimmy Harrison made 12 saves and allowed 12 goals in the first three periods, while sophomore Connor Sweeney stopped three shots and allowed four goals in the fourth period. Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Army for a Patriot League matchup.
Lafayette Lafayette dropped a 9-7 League game at Bucknell on Saturday. After being down 6-0 in to the third period, Lafayette made it 6-4 and scored three goals in the final period. Sophomores Matt Mersky and Steve Serling each scored two goals apiece for the Leopards. Junior goalkeeper Jeff Canfield grabbed a season-high 14 saves. Each team won 10 face-offs each, with freshman Cesar Munoz (7-for-13) pacing the Leopards. Lafayette will play at Stony Brook on Tuesday and host Drexel on Saturday.
Lehigh Lehigh split games last week, falling to No. 11 Navy on Tuesday and defeating Villanova, 9-8, at home on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks were down to the Wildcats, 7-3, heading into the third quarter, but reeled off the next six goals of the game to earn the come from behind victory. Junior Max Dahlem netted a game-high three scores against the Wildcats, while freshman Jonathan Stumpf and senior Fred Cassilly both added two scores apiece. Stumpf also tallied two assists for a game-high four points. Lehigh will host two games this week with Army on Wednesday and St. John's on Saturday.
Navy Navy earned a pair of League wins last week, defeating Lehigh, 14-3, and Holy Cross, 16-3. Fourteen different players scored goals in the two games combined against Holy Cross and Lehigh, including four who scored their first collegiate goals. Senior Nick Mirabito put together back-to-back career-high tying six-point performances. His four assists against Lehigh last Tuesday set a career high in which he later tied on Saturday against Holy Cross. Navy will host Bucknell on Wednesday and play at Colgate on Sunday.
