Colgate's Remmer Voted 2008 Patriot League Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Colgate's Meredith Remmer was named the 2008 Patriot League Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year, it was announced on Wednesday by Patriot League Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich. The scholar-athlete of the year award is voted on by the Patriot League's rowing sports information directors.

Patriot League Announces 2008 Rowing All-League Team
Eleven student-athletes were named to the 2008 All-Patriot League Team, all of whom participated in the varsity eight race at the 2008 Patriot League Rowing Championship that took place on April 27 on the Cooper River in Camden County, N.J. Bucknell placed a League-high four student-athletes on the all-star squad as a result of winning the first varsity eight race at the Patriot League Championship. Navy had three student-athletes earn All-Patriot League status, while Colgate had two and both Holy Cross and Lehigh had one.

Bucknell Claims 2008 Patriot League Rowing Championship
With a victory in the varsity eight race, the Bucknell Bison claimed their third consecutive Patriot League Rowing Championship on Sunday at Cooper River. The Bison tied second-place Navy with 27 points, but Bucknell earned the title because of their triumph in the varsity eight. Holy Cross came in third place with 15 points, followed by Colgate with 13 and Lehigh with seven.

Patriot League To Hold 2008 Rowing Championship On New Jersey's Cooper River
The Patriot League rowing championship will take place in a new location for the first time in four years on Sunday, April 27. The 2008 championship will be contested on the Cooper River in Camden County, N.J. This is the fourth-ever Patriot League Rowing Championship. Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lehigh and Navy will all be in the hunt for the 2008 title.
