Oct. 2, 2007

2007 NFCA All-Academic Teams Complete Listing

A pair of Patriot League softball squads were recognized on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Academic Team list for the 2006-07 academic year. Bucknell was ranked 26th, while Lehigh came in at 31st. The All-Academic Team list is based on cumulative grade-point averages submitted by NFCA member head coaches.

Under the direction of Head Coach Heather Rakosik, the Bison ranked 26th with a 3.329 cumulative grade-point average.

Lehigh placed 31st on this year's list with a 3.287 with Fran Troyan at the helm of a program that won its eighth-straight solo Patriot League regular-season title in 2007.

Both Bucknell and Lehigh led the way with 11 selections to the 2007 Patriot League Softball Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter.
